Joanna is currently accepting new clients

Welcome! I’m Zhongxue (Joanna) He, a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

Seeking support can be a vulnerable step. In our work together, my priority is to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and respected. I believe healing happens when we are met with empathy and curiosity, not pressure to “fix” ourselves.

I support adults navigating the impacts of trauma, including racial and intergenerational trauma, childhood and relational wounds, sexual trauma, grief and loss, immigration-related stress, and workplace experiences. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that once helped them survive but no longer serve them. Together, we gently explore these experiences and work toward healing, resilience, and meaningful change.

My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs. I thoughtfully integrate EMDR with Hakomi therapy, IFS, EFT, CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and lasting change. Our work may include increasing self-awareness, releasing stuck or overwhelming experiences, and creating corrective emotional experiences that support confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.

I also welcome conversations around spirituality and meaning. With an understanding of both Christian and Buddhist perspectives, I can support clients who wish to integrate their spiritual identity into their healing journey in a way that feels authentic and respectful.

If you’re ready to begin or continue your healing process, I would be honoured to walk alongside you. Please feel free to reach out to see if we may be a good fit.

Ava is currently accepting new clients

Ava is a warm, down-to-earth registered provisional psychologist who believes therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and genuinely human. Her priority is creating a space where you can show up as yourself — without pressure, judgment, or the need to mask or have everything figured out.

Ava supports individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or navigating life transitions, including neurodivergent adults and those exploring how their nervous system, identity, or lived experience shapes how they move through the world. Her approach is flexible and tailored, drawing from evidence-based practices while honouring each person’s unique processing style, sensory needs, and pace.

Ava also has specialized training in couples counselling using the Gottman Method. She works with couples, including neurodivergent and mixed-neurotype partners, to strengthen communication, increase understanding of different processing styles, and navigate conflict in ways that feel more respectful, regulated, and effective.

Ava values authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship and believes meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and respected. Whether you’re moving through a difficult season individually or wanting to build greater clarity, safety, and connection within your relationship, Ava’s warmth and gentleness create space for growth without shame or pressure.

Riley is currently accepting new clients for both counselling and assessments.

Hi!

I’m Riley Morrell, a Calgary-based Registered Psychologist at Choose You Centre specializing in psychoeducational assessments and counselling. He helps children, teens, and adults—and their families—better understand their strengths and needs, and develop a clear plan for moving forward.

Clients often come to me for answers and support around ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, giftedness, attention and executive-function challenges, and social-emotional concerns like anxiety, low mood, stress, confidence, behaviour, and social worries. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical, so you can expect to feel heard and to leave with next steps you can use right away.

Assessments start with an in-depth intake and targeted interviews, followed by a multi-method process that may include standardized measures. You will receive an easy-to-read report that highlights strengths, clarifies challenges, and provides concrete strategies for home, school, or work, plus a feedback session where we go through results together.

Counselling is goal-focused and supportive. We decide what matters most, build skills between sessions, and track progress so changes show up in daily life. Parents can also book consults for school planning, motivation, and executive-function supports.

If you would like to see if we are the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation.
